Avery spent her first Thanksgiving with both sides of her family. We spent Thanksgiving day in Natchitoches with the Coopers and the day after Thanksgiving in Tioga with the Watsons. She is growing so fast! I don't know where all the time has gone. Here are a few pictures.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SUPUecydiXI/AAAAAAAAAVo/Ivohue0P90A/s1600-h/12.02.08+035.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; We had a wonderful time. We relaxed on the beach, went shopping & was just lazy for a whole week. Mom & Angela took turns waking up with Avery at night, while I enjoyed some uninterrupted sleep!!<br />Pictures from our Family Vacation:<br /><a href="http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2408460&l=51650&id=23401590"><span>http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2408460&l=51650&id=23401590</span></a><br /><br />While we were gone our other "baby", Jake was in an accident. We decided to board Jake for a few days while we were at the beach. Well Ben wakes me up early Friday morning (Sept. 26) to tell me that when he called to check on Jake, they told him that Jake was bit by a big dog (at the kennel boarding place). He made it through surgery ok, but is paralyzed. So needless to say....I'M DEVASTATED!! Ben & I decide to leave Florida early, come home & see about Jake. We also decided that since we needed to get home as quickly as possible it would be best to leave Avery in Florida with my parents & sister to ride home on Saturday. So we took off headed to Pineville at 10AM & drove like a bat out of hell. We made it home around 4PM & went straight to the vet. We looked at Jake's x-rays & found out that his spinal cord was severed meaning that he would never walk again & couldn't defecate himself. So, as much as I wanted him to be ok, he wasn't & we had to put him to sleep. We got to see him & say goodbye, which i'm SOOO thankful for. I kissed him & petted him & told him how much I loved him! Mr. Kirk buried him by Lily (Blake & Lindsay's dog who died last Spring) I'm so glad he buried him b/c Ben nor I were in any kind of shape to do that. I swear it was the absolute hardest thing I've ever had to do in my entire life. (I'm crying as I type). I feel like I lost my best friend & my baby. It's only been a few weeks, but I still beak out in tears randomly throughout the day.<br /><br />I think about him all the time & I wish Avery could have grown up with him because he was the sweetest dog!! He only lived with her for a week, but he was so good with her. He would have been a wonderful big brother!!<br /><br />A few weeks before Avery was born I said to Ben "I wonder if I'm going to love Avery as much as I love Jake?" Well, I do & that's the only way i'm getting through this. I miss him so much!!<br /><br /><br />August 16, 2002-September 26, 2008<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SY732UuI/AAAAAAAAAR8/CFJf5OJs1ec/s1600-h/1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SY732UuI/AAAAAAAAAR8/CFJf5OJs1ec/s320/1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255580247251112674" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SY4isl-I/AAAAAAAAASE/vv0Zfg8lUKY/s1600-h/2.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 284px; height: 215px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SY4isl-I/AAAAAAAAASE/vv0Zfg8lUKY/s320/2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255580246357088226" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SY_X1GlI/AAAAAAAAASM/Gloe4pO7Rxk/s1600-h/3.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 265px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SY_X1GlI/AAAAAAAAASM/Gloe4pO7Rxk/s320/3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255580248190556754" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SZD45WOI/AAAAAAAAASU/L3-wxZ0pLLg/s1600-h/4.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 270px; height: 204px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SZD45WOI/AAAAAAAAASU/L3-wxZ0pLLg/s320/4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255580249402988770" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SZNLOQfI/AAAAAAAAASc/GxOx6pqneDk/s1600-h/5.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO-SZNLOQfI/AAAAAAAAASc/GxOx6pqneDk/s320/5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255580251895775730" border="0" /></a>Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-67870514507307998802008-10-09T08:54:00.009-05:002008-10-09T09:15:47.899-05:00Time flies...Wow!! I can't believe my baby will be 8 weeks old tomorrow!! Time flies & I don't seem to find time to update my blog near as often as I should. We have had a rough 8 weeks, but we're getting into a routine now.<br /><br />Avery had severe reflux for the first 5 weeks of her life. We tried 3 different formulas, but nothing seemed to work. For the past few weeks she has been throwing up about every other time she ate. This really concerned Ben & I, but the Dr. didn't seem all that concerned saying that some babies have problems with reflux, so on and so forth. She went to the Dr. before we left for the beach & she was just now back up to her birth weight, so we decided to increase her calories so she'll put on some weight. Well what he suggested didn't work b/c it was more formula (which her stomach couldn't handle & would throw up). So, then we tried putting a little rice cereal in her bottle to make it thicker thinking maybe it would stay down easier. Things got a little better, but she was still throwing up often. (Side note: She wasn't just spitting up...it was like vomiting her whole bottle back up) So, I called the Dr. back while we were in Florida & made it clear that things were still not working. So, now we're trying her on Zantac for reflux. She's been on the meds for two weeks & she has made a complete 360. Today marks a week that she has not spit up!!!! She's on Infamil A.R. which is for babies who spit up frequently, rice cereal & the Zantac. I read where some babies have reflux b/c their esophagus muscles aren't strong enough to keep down food. Hopefully this medicine will help build those muscles & she'll start putting on some weight & growing like she's suppose to. I stepped on the scale with her the other day & it said she weighs 9 lbs. I'm not sure how accurate that is. She goes back to the doctor for her shots & check up on Oct. 16th.<br /><br />We went to Natchitoches to take some family pictures on Sunday!! Here are a few. Hope you enjoy.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4PVceWefI/AAAAAAAAAQk/-V70yUK3-38/s1600-h/Av%26mom.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 100px; height: 121px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4PVceWefI/AAAAAAAAAQk/-V70yUK3-38/s320/Av%26mom.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255154676283111922" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4SAY7V0JI/AAAAAAAAARc/5JZ0X9DT5JY/s1600-h/momdad%26av.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4SAY7V0JI/AAAAAAAAARc/5JZ0X9DT5JY/s400/momdad%26av.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255157613088592018" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RMLTwG8I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/JFWjcVIoVU4/s1600-h/Av%26dad.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RMLTwG8I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/JFWjcVIoVU4/s400/Av%26dad.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255156716079684546" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RQsG5ehI/AAAAAAAAAQ8/0jTM2IDJCrQ/s1600-h/Avbasket.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RQsG5ehI/AAAAAAAAAQ8/0jTM2IDJCrQ/s400/Avbasket.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255156793603619346" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RWqeonkI/AAAAAAAAARM/1m0ClTLWp5c/s1600-h/Avhead.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RWqeonkI/AAAAAAAAARM/1m0ClTLWp5c/s400/Avhead.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255156896245521986" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RTm4ZLgI/AAAAAAAAARE/fVq0LzvlA4c/s1600-h/Avfeet.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RTm4ZLgI/AAAAAAAAARE/fVq0LzvlA4c/s400/Avfeet.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255156843740212738" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RIiOnJqI/AAAAAAAAAQs/5sd5kuhEPg4/s1600-h/Av.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 126px; height: 101px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SO4RIiOnJqI/AAAAAAAAAQs/5sd5kuhEPg4/s320/Av.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255156653512664738" border="0" /></a>Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-6723750632640108682008-09-04T15:26:00.000-05:002008-09-04T15:56:24.409-05:00Avery Elizabeth Cooper is HERE!!!Avery is finally here!! Ben works in Accounting & my mom works in Administration. We had such a good time & Avery got some very nice things. She got some precious booties, a newborn gown & a great gift card to Wal-Mart. I have a feeling we will have lots of visitors</span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"> in the hospital once Avery decides to grace us with her presence. =) Here are a few pictures from the shower.<br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJtALX_MG2I/AAAAAAAAAMk/-vsVf8pDZ6A/s1600-h/Avery%27s+Nursery+005.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJtALX_MG2I/AAAAAAAAAMk/-vsVf8pDZ6A/s320/Avery%27s+Nursery+005.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231845956282751842" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">The adorable cake!<br /><br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJs_5_1NVFI/AAAAAAAAAMc/mgqOCfSwWNU/s1600-h/Avery%27s+Nursery+002.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJs_5_1NVFI/AAAAAAAAAMc/mgqOCfSwWNU/s320/Avery%27s+Nursery+002.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231845657740661842" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Ben & I with the cake!<br /><br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJs_oU8ZD8I/AAAAAAAAAMU/m-V42oaOF5Q/s1600-h/Avery%27s+Nursery+001.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJs_oU8ZD8I/AAAAAAAAAMU/m-V42oaOF5Q/s320/Avery%27s+Nursery+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231845354170290114" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">The first cake they bought. The answer is yes, but not right now. My plan is to take the fall semester off to stay home with Avery (if she ever gets here...haha). I hope to find an open teaching position for the spring semester starting in January, but it all depends on what positions are open & available at that time. I still would love to go back to PreK, but the chances of a PreK position being open in January are very slim. We'll see what happens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something amazing will come along. In the mean time i'm just trying to relax & take it easy because I know my days are numbers without Avery.<br /><br />I've made an appointment to get a prenatal massage tomorrow. I'm so excited!! I was reading that this is one way to "naturally" induce labor. The relaxation releases hormones in your body that tells your baby it's time. I also read that eating pineapple & spicy food helps induce. I'm trying anything & everything. I have another doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon. I will update if he tells me anything interesting. As of last Thursday (July 31st) Avery was "head down", but I was "closed". Hopefully she has started her descent & she'll be here soon! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!<br /><br />We're now at T minus 3 1/2 weeks (24 days!!)Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-39151958978003130772008-08-01T09:47:00.005-05:002008-08-01T09:57:53.349-05:00Recent Preggy PicsCasey & Jessica's Wedding<br />July 26, 2008<br />35 weeks pregnant.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJMkDfBfrQI/AAAAAAAAAL8/6JjVV2NSuNI/s1600-h/Casey+%26+Jess%27+Wedding+002.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJMkDfBfrQI/AAAAAAAAAL8/6JjVV2NSuNI/s320/Casey+%26+Jess%27+Wedding+002.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229563234593254658" border="0" /></a><br /><br />All the Cooper girls minus Julie.<br />Lindsay, Mrs. Sally, Jessica & Rachel<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJMjvq2-qUI/AAAAAAAAAL0/ghj7rxhU3ws/s1600-h/Casey+%26+Jess%27+Wedding+009.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJMjvq2-qUI/AAAAAAAAAL0/ghj7rxhU3ws/s320/Casey+%26+Jess%27+Wedding+009.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229562894172989762" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Aunt Jess wanted a picture with Avery.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJMjYWj_AnI/AAAAAAAAALs/I1Xfcn_2Oxk/s1600-h/Casey+%26+Jess%27+Wedding+008.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SJMjYWj_AnI/AAAAAAAAALs/I1Xfcn_2Oxk/s320/Casey+%26+Jess%27+Wedding+008.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229562493587620466" border="0" /></a>Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-37480595096938278742008-07-29T17:14:00.006-05:002008-07-29T17:25:06.895-05:00Avery's NurseryAvery's nursery is finally finished. Aunt Carolyn, Cathey, Aunt Frances, Aunt Diane, mom & Addyson were there. We had a delicious lunch (definently Southern Living style), then I opened presents. Avery got a really cute LSU diaper bag, Target gift card, picture frame, teddy bear, towel, washcloth, burp cloth & LOTS OF BOOKS!! I really hope Avery likes books because she already has tons!!<br /><br />After lunch & presents we got a tour of the new house & visited. It was so nice visiting with everyone. It is not very often that I get to see my mom's best friends! We had a wonderful time & it was very sweet of them to think of me & Avery. Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-40988477995246222972008-07-23T15:32:00.003-05:002008-07-23T15:55:48.038-05:0034 1/2 weeks down, Only 5 1/2 more to go!!Since it has been a little less than a month since my last post, I thought I would update those of you who like to be in "the know" and know what has been going on.<br /><br />My last doctors appointment was the scariest one I have been to so far. I started my two week appointments last Thursday, July 17, 2008. I have been having some "female problems", so when I went to the doctor I told him what has been going on to see if he could run some tests or at least tell me what I can do to make my "problem" go away. He asked me what I had for breakfast that day & I told him Oatmeal Crisp Almond Crunch cereal (side note: This is the best cereal I have ever tasted, so I have been having it every day since I discovered it in May.) Well, he then proceeded to tell me that I had A LOT of sugar in my urine that morning & they wanted me to come back the nest day (Friday) for another blood glucose test. (I took this same test at 24 weeks & passed with flying colors.) So, I go home not sure about what to think or what do do at this point. I go back to the doctors office at 8AM on Friday morning for the 1 hour blood glucose test. Well, to sum it all up, the results came back that I "failed" the blood glucose test this time. I have gestational diabetes!! I was instructed to buy a glucose meter & check my sugar levels first thing in the morning (8 hour fasting blood) & two hours after every meal & a dietitian would be contacting me to go over a diabetic diet. I'm still having my "problem", but hopefully it will go away soon & that it's not something else.<br /><br />Ben & I met with the dietitian, Amy, on Monday. I read her what my sugar levels have been over the weekend (Friday-Monday) & they were in the "normal" range. They should be between 70-120. Only a few times have they been over 120, which she said is normal for the levels to fluctuate every now and then. She gave us a list of what a diabetic diet consists of & some food choice ideas.<br /><br />Ben is such a sweet husband! He is doing the 2000 calorie diabetic diet with me even though he doesn't have to. He said that if I have to go through it then he will too. He has been so sweet, understanding & makes me feel like i'm not alone on this whole adventure. He told the dietitian that the only way he eats 2000 calories a day is if he sleeps most of the day!! haha. Funny, but true!! The diet is somewhat hard to get used to because we are both used to eating whatever & whenever we want. Now we have to watch our carbs & sugars. I am still craving ice cream & icees which are big no-no's, but I know that this is in the best interest of me & Avery. And plus, I only have 5 1/2 more weeks & the diabetes usually goes away after birth. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!<br /><br />So, today is Wednesday & my sugar levels are still in the "normal" range, so that is very good news. I go back to the doctor next Thursday, July 31, 2008. Starting in August is when I will start going weekly. Avery moves ALL THE TIME & sometimes I feel like she is going to bust through my belly button. Besides my hormones constantly being in overdrive, I have had a very good pregnancy so far. </span> <span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">My appointment was at 8AM for an ultrasound and a glucose test which checks for gestational diabetes. I was not in the waiting room for very long when I was called back to give blood. I had strict instructions to fast since midnight the night before. The nurse took my "fasting" blood, then I had to drink an orange, thick drink which reminded me of a thicker Sunkist drink. It did not taste as bad as I thought it would. =) I looked at my watch and it was exactly 8:13AM. I was told I had to come back in exactly one hour at 9:13AM to give my second round of blood that would later be sent off to compare the two sets. My test results should be in this afternoon or tomorrow morning. If it comes back positive then I have to schedule another appointment where I will have to go through all this again, plus they will take blood 4 times instead of two. No news is good news, so I hope my blood comes back negative.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Avery was very active for the ultrasound today. She is already so adorable and has the perfect little nose!! =) She weighs in at 2 lbs 7 oz. and is 28 weeks old. They could not measure her length since she is in a ball, but she is about the size of a head of cauliflower. Her heartbeat was in the 140's which is good for a girl. It looks like she will have big feet. She was kicking the entire time her picture was being taken. My next appointment is July 3, 2008 which will just be a regular check-up. Dr. Hall will measure my belly and check her heartbeat. After my July appointment I will be going for check-ups every two weeks until she decides to make her debut. Please keep praying that she stays healthy and keeps growing. </span> <span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><br /><br />Here are her pictures from today:</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhHGJp9gRI/AAAAAAAAAIs/rfgsk5GhUPk/s1600-h/27weeks5.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhHGJp9gRI/AAAAAAAAAIs/rfgsk5GhUPk/s400/27weeks5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208491140050682130" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhHBxlsnmI/AAAAAAAAAIk/itfFpeIP9UE/s1600-h/27weeks4.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhHBxlsnmI/AAAAAAAAAIk/itfFpeIP9UE/s400/27weeks4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208491064870870626" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhG8Wb91FI/AAAAAAAAAIc/4imRsxMdDWI/s1600-h/27weeks3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhG8Wb91FI/AAAAAAAAAIc/4imRsxMdDWI/s400/27weeks3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208490971682952274" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhG3vCc9jI/AAAAAAAAAIU/D-wBRsLmAqk/s1600-h/27weeks2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhG3vCc9jI/AAAAAAAAAIU/D-wBRsLmAqk/s400/27weeks2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208490892387481138" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhGzQ5QO9I/AAAAAAAAAIM/n_cMV3H-EMo/s1600-h/27weeks1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhGzQ5QO9I/AAAAAAAAAIM/n_cMV3H-EMo/s400/27weeks1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208490815576357842" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhGtAmtenI/AAAAAAAAAIE/00VLs0MxDIk/s1600-h/27weeks6.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhGtAmtenI/AAAAAAAAAIE/00VLs0MxDIk/s400/27weeks6.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208490708124400242" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhGp1vlIHI/AAAAAAAAAH8/f5gaSlH7X2c/s1600-h/27weeks7.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/SEhGp1vlIHI/AAAAAAAAAH8/f5gaSlH7X2c/s400/27weeks7.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208490653669204082" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><br /><br /><br /></span>Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-5249897133126426902008-06-01T14:06:00.000-05:002008-06-06T07:23:25.447-05:00She has a name...<span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">After much thought and consideration, Ben & I have finally decided on a name for our baby girl. The bedding is baby pink, hot pink & sage accented with ladybugs. It's adorable!! Ever since finding this bedding I have been obsessed with ladybugs. I think her room will be very cozy once it's all here and set up. Her daddy and I are still working on cleaning out the "office" so it can be her room soon. We have officially said that Avery's room will be ready on July 1st!! We'll see. I will post some pictures of her room when all her furniture arrives and everything is set up.<br /><br /><img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/BENCOO%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg" alt="" />Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-5004957300667061732008-04-10T19:50:00.009-05:002008-04-27T20:56:46.503-05:00...It's a GIRL!!!Well, it's official!! It's a GIRL!! She did a great job of giving us a "birds eye view" of her goods today during the sonogram. I was told to drink a Sprite before my visit. Supposedly this gets the baby moving around and boy did she move. Mrs. Cheryl (the sonographer) was chasing her all over my belly to get good measurments. =) She weighs about 11 ounces and is around the size of a big tomato.<br /><br />I arrived at the doctor's office at about 2:45 for my appointment and they took me right back. Mrs. Cheryl poked and prodded me for about 15 minutes taking good measurments of her head, crown to rump, heart beat (150), etc. She asked if we wanted to find out the sex of the baby and I said yes, but wanted to wait until Ben was in there so we could find out together. So, she called him back there and showed us a picture of her "hiney" and her little "vajay vajay". We both cried!! I could have sworn I was having a BOY all this time. Guess I was wrong.<br /><br />After Ben & I found out they called my mom and Mrs. Sally back to the room so they could have a look at the sonogram. They were both very excited when they found out their grandchild is a girl. We looked at her for what seemed like forever. She was very active and kept us entertained for awhile. I am just so amazed at modern technology and what you can see these days.<br /><br />My next appointment is just a belly check up on May 8th and my next ultrasound is scheduled for June 5th.<br /><br />Keep praying that we stay healthy and keep growing!! =)<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62eVHeb8I/AAAAAAAAAFE/EHZROZYAV1I/s1600-h/20weeks6.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62eVHeb8I/AAAAAAAAAFE/EHZROZYAV1I/s400/20weeks6.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187784452958220226" border="0" /></a><br />It's a GIRL!!!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62YFHeb7I/AAAAAAAAAE8/jKhWqoG0SSU/s1600-h/20weeks5.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62YFHeb7I/AAAAAAAAAE8/jKhWqoG0SSU/s400/20weeks5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187784345584037810" border="0" /></a><br />Foot/Leg & Spine <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62T1Heb6I/AAAAAAAAAE0/xPlH87DWYBk/s1600-h/20weeks4.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62T1Heb6I/AAAAAAAAAE0/xPlH87DWYBk/s400/20weeks4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187784272569593762" border="0" /></a><br />Look at that sweet face!!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62PVHeb5I/AAAAAAAAAEs/P3SYBok9OHI/s1600-h/20weeks3.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62PVHeb5I/AAAAAAAAAEs/P3SYBok9OHI/s400/20weeks3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187784195260182418" border="0" /></a><br />Profile & 3D image<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62JVHeb4I/AAAAAAAAAEk/MjFln7Qm_pM/s1600-h/20weeks2.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62JVHeb4I/AAAAAAAAAEk/MjFln7Qm_pM/s400/20weeks2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187784092180967298" border="0" /></a><br />Profile & 3D image<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62D1Heb3I/AAAAAAAAAEc/OsHSeP0h698/s1600-h/20weeks1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R_62D1Heb3I/AAAAAAAAAEc/OsHSeP0h698/s400/20weeks1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187783997691686770" border="0" /></a><br />Feet & ArmOur Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-44072474205529168492008-03-21T07:42:00.003-05:002008-03-21T07:47:40.255-05:00Is it a BOY or a GIRL...?<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms;">We will find out if we are having a BOY or a GIRL on April 10, 2008. Gosh, time has FLOWN by. I am already 17 weeks. Only 3 more weeks and I'm halfway to meeting my little peanut. =)</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms;">I should be feeling him/her move soon. I read where you can start to feel flutters between 16-20 weeks. I lay still everynight right before bedtime to see if I can feel anything, but nothing yet. But then again, i'm not quite sure what i'm feeling for. </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms;">Ben & I are leaving for Branson today. We decided to take a little road trip, just the two of us, before the baby and everything gets too hectic. My second doctors appointment went well. Ben was working in New Orleans all week, so I asked my mom to stand in for Ben since I didn't want to go to the doctor by myself. I had to start scheduling my appointments at 3:15 since it's easier to leave school at the end of the day without having to get a sub for my class. I arrived at the hospital around 3:00, picked up mom and headed over to the doctors office. I knew they had a bunch of stuff scheduled since my last appointment was short and sweet. We weren't in the waiting room but a few minutes when they called me back to do my second sonogram. Little peanut was very active this time. He/She has grown quite a bit. He/She is almost 2 inches and about the size of a lemon. Mom & I got to see little peanut turn flips....it was the coolest thing. I can't wait until I can actually feel him/her moving around in my belly.<br /><br />I finally got to meet Dr. Hall. He is very nice and I feel very comfortable with him. I feel like he will do a great job taking care of Little Peanut and I over the next 6 months. Dr. Hall decided to move my due date up to AUGUST 30, 2008. He said that the baby was bigger and much easier to measure this time. He/She measured 11 weeks and 5 days (give/take 3 days).<br /><br />I have been having tons of dreams about little BOYS. I don't know where they are coming from. Maybe it's my conscious preparing me for a little boy. So, i'm going to go out on a limb and be the first one to say that I think Peanut is a boy. Of course I may be wrong, but that is just the feeling I have right now.<br /><br />I am going on 13 weeks and I have not been sick once until last Sunday. That was my first time to actually get sick and luckily it was on the weekend. Ben & I got up and got ready for church. Right when it was time to leave I started feeling woozy. I told Ben that I get nauseous often, but have never gotten sick and that it would pass soon. So we loaded up the car and headed to church. We almost got to Jackson St. and I told Ben that I needed to go back home. Luckily I made it back home and to the bathroom in time. =) I have been fine ever since Sunday. I think I have figured out that taking my prenatal vitamin on an empty stomach isn't such a good idea. I have since started taking my vitamin at night after dinner. Hopefully I won't have anymore sick episodes. I have been very blessed these past 13 weeks to only be sick once. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.<br /><br />Until next time....<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R7TGVXakmuI/AAAAAAAAAD4/RwIE51CqpKo/s1600-h/12weeks2.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R7TGVXakmuI/AAAAAAAAAD4/RwIE51CqpKo/s400/12weeks2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5166972742865820386" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R7TGOXakmtI/AAAAAAAAADw/Xudq8AoHt6A/s1600-h/12weeks1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R7TGOXakmtI/AAAAAAAAADw/Xudq8AoHt6A/s400/12weeks1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5166972622606736082" border="0" /></a><br /><br />February 13, 2008:<br />I had another Doctor Appointment today. Not much time to update right now. He moved my due date up to AUGUST 30, 2008. Turns out that i'm further along and it was much easier to measure the size of the baby this time. Will update more soon. =)Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-45032785568294265092008-02-02T09:57:00.000-06:002008-02-02T09:58:46.849-06:00Week #8<h2 class="label">Your pregnancy: 8 weeks</h2><br /><div style="float: left; padding-right: 10px;"> <a href="http://www.babycenter.com/fetal-development-images-8-weeks"><img src="http://assets.babycenter.com/i/m/fetal/8.jpg" border="0" height="137" width="140" /><br /> Click to enlarge</a> </div> <h3><b>How your baby's growing:</b></h3> New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-87172371434789363762008-01-16T17:18:00.000-06:002008-01-16T19:38:59.357-06:00First Doctor's Appointment<span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Well, it's official....there's a baby in my belly!! I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant (give/take 3 days) and due on SE</span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">PTEMBER 9, 2008.<br /><br />I had my first doctor's appointment today and I was really ready for a doctor to tell me i'm pregnant and not just an at-home pregnancy test. My appointment was at 1:15PM with Dr. Joel Hall. I worked until 11:30 and went to the hospital to have lunch with Benjamin before my appointment. At around 1:00 Ben and I walked across the skywalk to the doctor's office, signed in and waited abo</span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">ut 5 minutes before the nurse called me back. The first thing she did was an ultrasound. She found a little blob of tissue with a heartbeat. She said the baby is about .5cm, about the size of a grain of rice. WOW, that's LITTLE!!! =) After she looked </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">around with the machine fo</span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">r a few minutes, she went to the waiting room and called Ben back to see the ultrasound and the heartbeat. The heartbeat was the NEATEST thing!! It was so TINY!! It is such an amazing feeling knowing that there is living, human being in my belly (even though it's the size of a grain of rice).<br /></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">The worst part of the visit was waiting to see the doctor. So, Ben & I went back to the waiting room for about another hour waiting to see the doctor. Around 2:45 the nurse came out and said that Dr. Hall was in surgery and we would be seeing the Nurse Practicioner, Melanie. She asked a few questions and we were finished. Very sweet & simple.<br /><br />My next doctor's appoin</span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">tment </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">is February 13th at 3:15PM. They scheduled another ultrasound, a pap and all the blood work. From now on I will go to the doctor once a month until July then will go every 2 weeks.<br /><br />Wish "us" luck and k</span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">eep praying!! =)<br /></span><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R46xVx3G2XI/AAAAAAAAADo/_BIQGAEezJM/s1600-h/3Jan1608.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R46xVx3G2XI/AAAAAAAAADo/_BIQGAEezJM/s400/3Jan1608.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156253611105638770" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R46wvB3G2VI/AAAAAAAAADY/Xh0JqkSgARM/s1600-h/Jan1608.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R46wvB3G2VI/AAAAAAAAADY/Xh0JqkSgARM/s400/Jan1608.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156252945385707858" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><br /></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><br /><br /><br /><br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R46xKx3G2WI/AAAAAAAAADg/6mZt-0dNJ08/s1600-h/2Jan1608.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_79IDVncuUCo/R46xKx3G2WI/AAAAAAAAADg/6mZt-0dNJ08/s400/2Jan1608.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156253422127077730" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><br /></span>Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988195464436912922.post-1035737701976247702008-01-01T17:03:00.001-06:002008-01-01T17:14:28.939-06:00Happy New Year!<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms;">Today is the first day of 2008, a brand new year. This year will be full of changes in our lives. Ben and I will have been together for 7 years in April and married for 2 years in August. We will also welcome our first child at the end of August. Being the beginning of a brand new year there are some things in my life I would like to change or improve. Here are my new year resolutions:<br />1. Eat healthy: I know that this is important for my baby, but I want to continue to keep my body healthy by watching what I eat. I will try my best to increase my fruit, vegetable and dairy especially during the next 9 months.<br />2. Exercise: I joined a gym in October and believe it or not, I actually enjoy going to the gym. My goal is to continue going to the gym at least twice a week if not more. I want to keep my body in good condition. Plus I hear it's good to keep exercising to prepare your body for labor. =)<br />3. Be prepred: My goal is to be fully prepared mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually when our baby arrives. I want to read about parenthood and how I can be the best parent I can be in today's society. I also want to continue going to church and grow spiritually with my husband.<br />4. Be the best wife and mommy: I will continue to be a understanding and compasionate wife to Ben and prepare myself to be a understanding and compasionate mother to little "peanut".<br /><br />So, these are the four thing that I will strive to accomplish in 2008. I will hold my family and friends accountable for helping me stick to my resolutions. =)<br /><br />I hope everyone has a wonderful 2008 and please contunue praying for Ben and I along with our "little peanut".<br /></span>Our Little Mini Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00362516157819644302noreply@blogger.com2
